What is a Launch Team?

We aim to give every Exodus Team a Launch experience during their first days in their placement location. The purpose of a Launch is to help orient and prepare team members to serve well on placement. 

Every Launch provides team members with the opportunity to bond with their teammates, engage with the Bible, learn about their host culture, and prepare for their placement.

This year we have options in Ireland (3 teams), Hungary (2 teams) and Romania (2 teams).

2026 LAUNCH TEAMS (By date)

Format

Launch Teams travel to the site 24-36 hours ahead of the teams to prepare and deliver the Launch programme. Each location is different, so responsibilities will vary. Most Launch teams lead times of fun, Bible engagement, prayer and worship, reflection and learning.

Travel dates may vary by +/-1 day

Team Members

Launch Team members are responsible for:

  • Delivering the programme alongside their team
  • Preparing for their elements as required
  • Representing Exodus culture & values with team members & hosts

Launch team members should be:

  • Committed followers of Christ (21+)* who can set an example in words, actions, love, faith and purity
  • Passionate about young people developing their relationship with God.
  • Able to travel and return with the team.

* Those aged 19 & 20 will be considered if they have experience as co-workers or if there are clear reasons (such as location) why they are not involved in the main teams programme.

Preparation

Occasional meetings will be required to prepare the Launch programme, which is supplied by Exodus and customised to suit the needs of each location.

Costs

Launch team members pay for their flights and make a small contribution toward food, accommodation and materials. This amount can be paid or fundraised in part.

We encourage a little additional fundraising to help cover costs of launch activities or materials
